AUTO BILLING INFORMATION

As of September 1st 2023, Magkasama will be switching to an auto billing payment system. This will be done via registering your credit card details with our secure online booking platform, Halaxy, during the intake process.

This is a way to streamline payment methods, reduce admin time and provide financial security for Dan and Magkasama as a whole. Part of the auto billing system is also to allow easy and prompt processing of cancellation/no show fees.

Alternative payment options will still be available on a case by case basis. If the auto billing system does not work for you please reach out to make a direct agreement with Dan.

We know moving to a new system can be a bit scary! Our priority is to make sessions as easy and stress free as possible. Please see below for a quick guide on how it works and ways you might be affected.

What does a “direct agreement” mean?
Basically this means just have a chat with Dan!

It is asked that you only request alternative payment methods if auto billing is a barrier to you accessing sessions. Having said this, we know auto billing is not possible for everyone and do not want this to be a barrier for sessions. If you need to suse bank transfers or cash payments this can be accommodated, just let us know.

I’m on a mental health care plan - what does this mean for me?
Auto billing will have no effect on your mental health care plan or your rebates! It will however mean you get your invoices alot faster which means you can claim and get money back faster! 

I’m funded by PSS or similar - what does this mean for me?
Auto billing will have no effect on your PSS funding and you can opt out of providing credit card details. Dan does not get paid any cancellation fees for PSS. 

I don’t have a credit card, can I still book sessions?
Yes absolutely! Please just let us know and we can set up an alternative payment method for you.

So how does it work?
During the intake process you will be invited to fill out an online form. In this form you will be prompted for your credit card details.

Automatic payments will be deducted on the day of your session, unless otherwise discussed with Dan or Egan (admin). Invoices will be supplied as soon as payment is processed. There is a 3$ credit card fee included on top of your nominated sliding scale rate. 

Cancellations and no shows

To manage capacity, financial security and service provision to folks who need it, Magkasama Therapy has updated the cancellation policy.

In the event of a late cancellation or no show Halaxy will automatically deduct the relevant fee:

0 - 24 hours’ notice: full fee

24 - 48 hours’ notice: 50% of fee

48 - 72 hours’ notice: 25% of fee


Medicare clients: please note that Medicare does not provide rebates for cancelled sessions and you will be liable for the full costs associated with your late cancellation. Cancellation fees will automatically be processed to your nominated card through Halaxy.

PSS clients:  please note that Dan does not receive any payment for sessions that do not take place due to late cancellation or no shows. These will not be processed via auto billing.
